Rating supplements is tricky. Each horse is so individual that one supplement may be absolutely perfect for it and not do much for it’s stall mate.
That said, overseeing a barn full of horses getting supplements, the two horses that look consistently fantastic in that from-the- inside-out glowing way, are the only two on Platinum Performance. The difference between them and the rest of the barn is remarkable. (I don’t say this lightly).
Since I know what kind of feed and supplements and exercise everyone is getting, I know this is the only difference in their regimen. The horses receiving it are two very different breeds: Draft and Morgan. We had a TB on it for 6 months and he started to get ‘that look’ also. He was sold, new owner didn’t continue Platinum, and he went back to looking well cared for, but ordinary. It’s not a quick fix. 3-6 months to really see the difference. I understand it costs an arm and a leg, but I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
My modest experience with three horses makes me think this is one of those rare supplements that works for the stall mate too.
