Previous founder, White Line disease, and winter with his hooves create a nightmare. Last winter he had them in three hooves at once, and these boots saved him a lot of pain. Not only tough and long lasting: they come with a nice thick bottom that I think must provide some cushioning for ouchy feet. He looks forward to having them put on. We did the same thing, bought them in different sizes for barefoot and shod. Couldn't agree more! Jane C.

I take care of a horse with recurring hoof abscesses. Previous founder, White Line disease, and winter with his hooves create a nightmare. Last winter he had them in three hooves at once, and these boots saved him a lot of pain.

Not only tough and long lasting: they come with a nice thick bottom that I think must provide some cushioning for ouchy feet. He looks forward to having them put on.

We did the same thing, bought them in different sizes for barefoot and shod. Couldn’t agree more!

Though it was tough to find one big enough for my Percheron mare’s frying pan sized feet, I also bought one of these and I can’t say enough good things about it. CANNOT. SAY. ENOUGH. GOOD. THINGS.

Go buy one immediately! It will save time, stress on both your part and your horse’s, and make life oh so much easier.

He went lame shortly after I puchased him. He had his shoes pulled a short time before I bought him and had picked up some gravel into the wall of his hoof. Back then I purchased a poltice boot which looked a lot like the one you showed us in the photo except it was taller. I still have this boot and like you would not (given the choice) use a bucket as I think it is dangerous if your horse should panic. Good article.
